QUINCY​

James (QUINCY) Harris is an american pastor, gospel artist, singer, songwriter and producer with different genres of christian musical talent like traditional gospel, gospel rap, and contemporary christian music infused with a little jazz. He creates the type of music that inspires all age groups!

He is a New Orleans native who has now become an Oklahoman by way of Hurricane Katrina! He is well loved everywhere he goes, whether he’s singing, praying, preaching, teaching or simply MC'ing a special event program or musical. His presence is huge in any size room and he’ll always let you know that it’s all because of Jesus!

Born December 2, 1976 as James Peters to the late Barbara Ann Williams and the late Deacon James Harris, QUINCY is the husband of Nicole Marie Batiste and the proud father of 4 beautiful children; Jamecia Quiana, Jasmine Qione, Janessa Qicole, and Jame Quincy III.

QUINCY has become a very successful, in demand pastor. He is the founder of the Shekanyah Evangelistic Ministries Inc. located in Chickasha, OK and he’s also the assistant pastor of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church of Wynnewood, OK where the senior pastor is James Sheldon Williams. 

 

QUINCY decided to pursue his musical career after getting so many requests from many christian believers across the United States that had the opportunity to experience the blessings of the preaching and music ministry that God has bestowed upon him. He’s an awesome humble soul who has finally decided to chase his dreams of changing the world by persuading the masses to live for righteousness sake by following him as he follows Christ!

When QUINCY was a toddler Dr. Albert Charles Mickel, pastor of the Macedonia Baptist Church of Marrero, LA and the lead singer of the Joyful Gospel Singers who’s an internationally known gospel singing group of New Orleans, LA hand picked QUINCY out of a crowd of many to sing with him at a local church concert and that encounter has had an everlasting impact on the life of God’s messenger. QUINCY credits this encounter as giving him his start on a path to musical ministry stardom!

 

QUINCY has accomplished many many things in his life but he says that his greatest achievement is graduating from Slidell Baptist Seminary with a Doctorate in Theology because he persevered at a time when he could have given up. He completed his Doctorate while losing his mother,  going through chemotherapy, and taking care of a wife who is a heart patient. These tests and trials birthed the hit single and album You’re Covered / He Won’t Let You Down that was released in the year of our Lord 2022!
